Bighorn Sheep Released in Pioneers

On Saturday, crews from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks released nine bighorn ewes into the eastern Pioneer Mountains as part of a herd augmentation effort approved by the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission in November.

FWP Citizen Advisory Committee Meets on December 9

The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) Citizen Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, December 9 (Public meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.) at the Region One FWP Headquarters on North Meridian Road in Kalispell. Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Gary Wolfe of Missoula will give an update and northwest Montana legislators have been invited to discuss FWP issues. Paul Sihler, FWP Chief of Operations in Helena, will attend and give an update on legislation and FWP operations.
