Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission To Meet In Helena

Montana’s Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet Feb. 20-21 in Helena at the FWP Headquarters building on 1420 East Sixth Ave.  The meetings will begin at 8 a.m. 

On Wednesday, Feb. 20 the Commission will make final decisions on the Prairie Dog ARM Amendment and Annual Rule; game damage season permit quotas; 2002 and 2003 season dates and quotas for spring turkey; black bear season dates and spring black bear quotas for 2002 and 2003; upland game bird season dates for 2002 and 2003; the moose, sheep goat, deer, elk and antelope seasons and regulations for 2002 and 2003; and general big game season dates for 2003.

On Thursday, Feb 21 a final decision will be made on the Smith River landowner definition and there will be informational updates on the Automated Licensing System; supplemental game damage licenses; fishing tournaments; snowmobile water skipping and the State Parks Futures Committee II.
