A domestic calf was killed by wolves on private land in the Grasshopper Valley west of Dillon. USDA Wildlife Services confirmed the depredation on Jan. 5. Multiple sets of wolf tracks were found at the depredation site. FWP authorized Wildlife Services to lethally remove two wolves. The landowner was issued a shoot on sight permit for two wolves.
