August 12, 2008 Hunter Safety Education Course Set in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Mont. – Youngsters in the Glasgow area who need to complete their hunter safety education course and related skills testing can do so in early September.

Valley County coordinator Andrew McKean said the course will be offered Sept. 8-12, 2008, at FWP Region 6 headquarters.

The course, required for hunters born after Jan. 1, 1985, will take place each evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. A mandatory field day event, where practical skills are tested, will be included at the end of the session.

McKean urged prospective young hunters to alert their friends to the classes because it is preferred that a minimum of 12 students be signed up in advance.

To register, stop by or call the Region 6 headquarters in Glasgow at (406) 228-3700 as soon as possible. Additional questions about the pending course can be addressed to McKean at (406) 228-2151.
