Lavina warden honored

BILLINGS — Lee Burroughs of Lavina was honored recently with the Montana Game Warden Association Award of Excellence for south central Montana.

Burroughs, who works in the Roundup warden district for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, was selected for the Region 5 award by his peers. Region 5 encompasses Yellowstone, Carbon, Stillwater, Sweetgrass, Wheatland, Golden Valley and Musselshell counties and parts of Petroleum and Big Horn counties.

The annual award recognized Burrough for his work throughout 2007. He received the honor during the North American Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association national conference in Great Falls earlier in July.
