BILLINGS — Children can learn about the tracks that wildlife and other animals leave in the soil Monday, July 21, at the latest session of “Earth Stewardship for Young Folks” at Pictograph Cave State Park south of Billings.

The session runs from 9 to 11 a.m. each Monday through Aug. 25.

Each week storytelling and nature-based activities will focus on a new topic intended to help children develop a relationship with the Earth. Participants may attend any or all of the sessions.

The program is free, but space is limited. Reservations are encouraged by calling Pictograph Cave State Park at 245-0227.

Future programs include:

July 28 – Become a junior ranger

Aug. 4 –   Un-nature trails

Aug. 11 – Archeology

Aug. 18 – Snakes, frogs and other reptiles

Aug. 25 – Storytelling – What’s your story in nature?

Pictograph Cave State Park is open every day this summer from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is no charge for Montana residents, but park fees may apply for non-residents.
