Fishing Derbies Planned

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on two fundraising fishing contests and one contest rescheduled for the open water season of 2008.

  Participants must comply with state fishing regulations, including daily and possession limits. Here are the dates and locations of the fishing contests.

Region 1 September 6-7             Montana Bass Qualifier on Noxon Reservoir (originally scheduled

for April 19-20)

Region 4 July 12                          Fishing for the Cure on Hauser Reservoir

Region 7 June 21                         Fund Raiser for Spotted Eagle Lake on Spotted Eagle Lake

The public may comment on the proposed contests through May 28 before FWP acts on the applications.
