BILLINGS — Magic City Fly Fishers, in cooperation with local fly shops, guides, friends of the river and the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks, will clean up the upper eight miles of the Bighorn River Saturday, May 10.

Volunteers with drift boats are encouraged to bring them and help float other volunteers along the river. All volunteers should bring waders, wading boots and a sack lunch.

Limited transportation is available from Billings in a 14-passenger van, which also will be used to shuttle volunteers between river access sites.

All participants will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the Three Mile Fishing Access Site. The cleanup effort should be complete by mid-afternoon, leaving time for some fishing.

Anyone who can volunteer, needs transportation or has questions should contact Doug Haacke of the Magic City Fly Fishers by Monday, May 5, at (406) 252-7210 or online at dhaacke@gmail.com.

Magic City Fly Fishers is the local chapter of Trout Unlimited.
