State Fish Art Entries Due

Aspiring young artists are reminded that State-Fish Art entries are due at the Kalispell Fish, Wildlife and Parks office by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 19. The regional competition, sponsored by FWP, Flathead Chapter of Trout Unlimited and Snappy Sport Senter is open to all students grades 4-12. Students are required to do artwork on Montana’s state fish, cutthroat trout and submit an entry form and short composition. All entries will be judged by a team of local artists and displayed at Snappys from March 21-26. Local winners will receive ribbons and gift certificates and the entries will then be forwarded to the national State-Fish Art contest. For the past several years, all the national Montana winners have come from this contest. Students can enter directly into the national contest by March 31.
