Adult Hunter Education Classes Scheduled for Missoula

Two abbreviated hunter education classes for adult students will be offered in Missoula this April.   Participants must complete a portion of the class by studying materials on their own before attending several required classrooms sessions and a field course.

Registration for the first class is March 18 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Missoula Fish, Wildlife & Parks office, 3201 Spurgin Road. Classes will be held April 7, 9, and 21 from 7-9:30 p.m., with a field course on the morning of April 19.   Interested students should attend the March 18 registration.   Students must be at least 18 years old to register, and enrollment is limited to 20 students.

The second class will be offered on the University of Montana campus.   Required class sessions are April 16 and 23 from 7-9:30 p.m., with a field course on the morning of April 19. Students must be 17 or older and can register from March 17-31 by stopping by the UM Outdoor Program office.   Registration will remain open until the enrollment limit of 25 students is met.

By state law, anyone born after January 1, 1985 must present a hunter education certificate in order to purchase hunting licenses in Montana.
