FWP to Hold Meeting in West Yellowstone on Hebgen Lake and Tributaries Fisheries Research

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will hold a public meeting on Mar. 3 in West Yellowstone to discuss ongoing fisheries management activities and projects being conducted in Hebgen Lake and surrounding tributaries, including the Madison River.

 

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort (315 Yellowstone Ave.) in the Electric Room.

 

FWP personnel will give updates on current management activities, research projects, and plans for the 2008 field season. Topics will include the operation of various types of fish traps on Hebgen Lake tributaries and lake sampling including the annual gill netting effort.

 

Personnel from Yellowstone National Park and the Gallatin National Forest will be in attendance to answer questions about their respective fisheries programs.
