Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is again offering internships to Montana college students. The internships give students opportunities to apply what they have learned in college to the work world. The student interns usually receive academic credit and a grade while completing practicum requirements. "Many talented young people have participated in this program over the past 17 years," said Debbie Cheek, FWP internship coordinator. "As interns they gain experiences and complete projects that strengthen their skills and help them to build a good resume." College students are urged to contact their career placement office immediately for information on these internships, or to visit the FWP website at fwp.mt.gov and click on “Employment Opportunities” on the home page under online services. The deadline to appy for many of the internships is March 15. Work terms, wages, housing availability, and application deadlines vary by position. For more information, contact Debbie Cheek, FWP Statewide Intern Coordinator, at 406-439-8299.
