Hunters hoping to bag partridge, pheasants and sharp-tailed grouse have until Jan. 1 when the season closes. Hunting is also over in early January for migratory waterfowl including coots, ducks and geese. Hunters should check their 2007 hunting regulations or visit the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks web site at fwp.mt.gov for specific on season closing dates by species.
