November is when most big game hunting seasons close in Montana. In general, antelope hunting ends Nov. 11. Hunting seasons close Nov. 25 for bighorn sheep, black bear, deer, elk, moose, mountain goat and mountain lion. Winter mountain lion season begins Dec. 1. In all cases, hunters are responsible for checking the 2007 hunting regulations for season dates, exceptions and other regulations that apply in the specific hunting district where they plan to hunt. Montana’s big game hunting regulations are available at all FWP offices and license providers.
