State Trails Advisory Committee To Meet In Helena

The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks State Trails Advisory Committee will meet Aug. 25 in Helena, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at FWP headquarters, 1420 East Sixth Ave.

The committee, representing multiple trail groups, was formed by FWP to review proposed revisions and updates to the annual grants program and to consider allocating special funds earmarked for trail improvements.

At the meeting, the group will consider possible new funding for non-motorized trails and preview plans for the 2008 State Trails Conference to be held in Missoula next Spring. The meeting is open to the public.
