Management season participation reaches objectives, rosters closed  

Fish, Wildlife & Parks is no longer taking names of hunters who want to participate in management seasons in Region 6. The department has received enough interest to accomplish harvest objectives in the Milk River Valley and elsewhere in northeast and north-central Montana.

 

The roster for the Milk River antlerless whitetail management season was capped at 200 participants, and that number was reached this week. The hunting season will continue until the harvest objective of 500 antlerless whitetails is achieved, but no additional participants will be recruited. Rosters for antlerless mule deer damage hunts and management seasons are also full.

 

FWP will announce any additional game-damage hunts or management seasons if they become necessary later this winter.
