Registration for final 2006 Bowhunter Education course is July 17th

July 17 th is the last chance of the year to register for a Bowhunter Education Course in Yellowstone County. This final weekend course will be held July 21 st through the 23 rd .

Registration, classes and the field course will all be held at the Billings Rod & Gun Club, 2931 Rod and Gun Club Rd. Registration on the 17 th runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The three-day class times are:

Friday, July 21, 6:30 –9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Anyone wanting to hunt big game during an "Archery Only" season must either produce a bow and arrow license from a previous year (any previous year and any state is acceptable) or show proof of completing a Bowhunter Education course and receiving certification of the same. Additionally, all hunters 12 through 17 must complete this course prior to purchasing a bow and arrow license for the first time. “Archery Only” season is set to open September 2 statewide for all big game.
