Spring turkey season runs April 9-May 15. Licenses are available from all Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks offices and most license providers throughout the state.

Hunters who wish to hunt in a special spring male turkey permit area must apply by March 15 for a permit and must purchase a spring turkey license before hunting.   Applicants for special spring turkey permits may apply in writing, obtain an application from the FWP headquarters or regional offices, or download an application from the FWP web site, and send it to the FWP regional office managing the special permit area they would like to hunt.

The written application must include name, address, ALS number, indicate which county the application is for, and include a $3 nonrefundable drawing fee.
