State-park art on display at FWP’s Glasgow office

The lobby of Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Region 6 headquarters has been transformed briefly into an art gallery. The finalists from FWP’s annual 5 th grade art contest are on display, and they provide some colorful insights into last year’s theme: illustrating the history that can be found in Montana state parks.

The top four posters from the statewide contest will be on display in FWP’s lobby in Glasgow through the first week of March. The winning poster, from Great Falls 5 th grader Shayle Nelson, details dinosaurs at Makoshika State Park near Glendive. Other posters depict Lewis and Clark Caverns near Cardwell, Giant Springs State Park in Great Falls and Travelers Rest State Park near Lolo.

Watch for information on participating in this year’s state-parks contest. You can find out more information on the contest and entry forms, which will be available later this spring, at www.fwp.state.mt.us/parks/.
