FWP Is Seeking Public Comment On Projects In And Near Spring Meadow Lake State Park

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is accepting written comments through Feb. 28 on projects proposed near Helena at Spring Meadow Lake State Park and the planned Education Center. A public meeting will also be held Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. at FWP Headquarters, 1420 East Sixth, in Helena.

The proposed projects include construction of an amphitheatre, an artificial stream where fish could be viewed, a new nature trail, a group use shelter, and work on associated facilities and parking areas. Plans also include the removal of an unstable building.

An Environmental Assessment is available on the FWP web site, or at the Helena Area Resource Office of Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, 930 Custer Ave, Helena, MT 59620.
