You spot a young fawn lying still.  Why won’t it move?  Is it hurt?  Where is its mother?  What should you do?

The best decision is to leave the fawn--or any other apparently "orphaned" animals--alone.  When humans interfere with nature, we often turn a natural situation into a serious problem.

Contact an FWP office or game warden only when you are sure the animal is truly orphaned.  Remember, no matter how hard we try, we can never be as good a mother as the real mom!
