Special Events And Campfire Programs Scheduled Again This Year At Montana's State Parks

Special events and evening campfire programs are scheduled throughout the summer at Montana State Parks again this year. Watch the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks web site at www.fwp.state.mt.us under Parks and Recreation for a full schedule of events.

Some highlights in May and early June include:

Giant Springs State Park in Great Falls on May 26 The first in a series of Wednesday lunch hour programs will be on the history of Giant Springs illustrated with historical pictures. For details contact Chris Dantic at 406-727-1212.



Bannack State Park near Dillon on May 29   Local performers Angela Hurley and Debi Zohner will present a medley of cowboy, folk and gospel songs beginning at 7 p.m.   For details call 406-834-3413.

  Missouri Headwaters State Park near Three Forks on June 12

  Jack Gladstone, Grammy-nominated Blackfeet singer and songwriter, presents Legends & Lore: Indian Mythology & Storytelling as a special musical treat beginning at 7 p.m. For details call 406-285-3610.
