Montana’s Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet April 15 in Bozeman, at the FWP Region 3 Headquarters, 1400 South 19th, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The commission will make final decisions on projects to be funded by the Future Fisheries Improvement Program’s special drought funding cycle; a water lease with the International Malt Company for waters originating at Giant Springs Trout Hatchery in Great Falls; and a plan to locate up to 10 trumpeter swan cygnets in wetlands in the Upper Blackfoot Valley this summer. Tentative decisions will be made on adopting the policy to address recreational conflicts on rivers; on the 2004 moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat and mountain lion quotas; and on the 2005 moose, sheep, deer and elk auction rules. Informational discussions will include issues related to water, habitat, and private land and public wildlife.
