Tentative Fall Turkey Quotas Increased In Special Permit Areas And Application Deadline Changed

Tentative fall turkey season quotas in special permit turkey hunting areas are generally proposed to increase. In another proposed change, the fall turkey special permit application deadline is now August 1, 2002.

The statewide fall turkey season is Sept. 1- Dec. 15. General fall turkey hunting areas that do not require a permit are: Hill, Chouteau, Fergus, Wheatland, Sweet Grass, Stillwater and Carbon counties and all counties to the east of these counties.
