Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks recently mailed corrections on the 2002 Big Game Hunting Regulations to successful Nonresident Deer and Elk Combination License applicants. The corrections will also be distributed to all FWP license providers, FWP regional offices and area resource offices. Page 20—Elk License and Permit Opportunities Unlimited A-7 (antlerless) elk licenses are NOT valid in Hunting District 320 and 330. Page 52—Deer/Elk Hunting District 320 Special A-7 License—There are NO A-7 (antlerless) elk licenses available in Hunting District 320. Page 108—Elk Definitions Antlered Bull-Any elk having an antler or antlers at least four inches in length measured from the top of the skull. Brow-tined Bull—Any elk having an antler or antlers with a visible point on the lower half of either main beam that is greater than or equal to four inches long. Spike Bull—Any elk having antlers which do not branch, or if branched, branch is less than four inches long measured from the main antler. Antlerless--A female or juvenile male with antlers less than four inches in length measured from the top of the skull.
