Governor Appoints New Private Land/Public Wildlife Advisory Council

Governor Marc Racicot has appointed a new 15-member Private Land/Public Wildlife Advisory Council. Charged with developing recommendations regarding issues that involve private land, public wildlife, and hunting access, the Council membership includes landowners, hunters, outfitters, legislators, and a Fish, Wildlife, & Parks commissioner. Council members are: Tommy Billing, Jordan; Leland Blatter, Nashua; Daniel Dart, Laurel; Connie Lord, Philipsburg; Mavis Lorenz, Missoula; David Simpson, Hardin; Senator Walter McNutt, Sidney; Representative Paul Clark, Trout Creek; Tom Hougen (Chairman), Melstone; Lee Gustafson, Billings; Lonnie McCurdie, Conrad; Verle Rademacher, White Sulphur Springs; Cecil Noble, Kalispell; Ray Marxer, Dillon; John Wilkinson, Miles City. The PL/PW Council’s first meeting will be held in Helena on Aug. 25-26 at the Jorgensen’s Inn. Members of the public are invited to attend.
