At its meeting on September 8, the Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission set final 1999 waterfowl hunting seasons and regulations. Pacific Flyway season and bag limits Ducks: October 2 through January 15 Geese: October 2 through January 9 Bag Limit (ducks): The daily bag limit is 7 ducks and mergansers, except that the daily bag may contain no more than 2 female mallards, 1 pintail, 2 redheads, 1 canvasback and 4 scaup. Possession Limit (ducks): The possession limit may not exceed twice the daily bag limit of any species and sex. Bag Limit (geese): 4 dark geese and 3 light geese Possession Limit (geese): Twice the daily bag. Central Flyway season and bag limits: Ducks: Zone 1 & 2: October 2 through January 6 Geese: October 2 through January 15 Bag Limit (ducks): The daily bag limit is 6 ducks containing no more than 5 mallards, of which no more than 2 may be females, 2 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 1 pintail, 1 canvasback and 3 scaup. The daily merganser bag limit is 5 mergansers, containing no more than 1 hooded merganser. Possession Limit (ducks): May not exceed twice the daily bag limit of any species and sex. Bag Limit (geese): 4 dark geese and 5 light geese Possession Limit (geese): 8 dark geese and 10 light geese The Commission also approved a statewide Youth Waterfowl Day for September 25. Legally licensed hunters age 12 through 15, who are accompanied by an adult, can participate.
