Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is sponsoring two "Becoming an Outdoors Woman" (BOW) workshops this summer. The first will run from July 31 through August 2 and the second from August 4 to August 6. These popular workshops provide women an opportunity to learn outdoor skills such as fishing, fly-tying, archery, shotgun and rifle shooting, canoeing, map and compass reading, plant identification, and Dutch oven cooking. The workshops, which are geared toward beginners and stress hands-on learning experiences, will be held at the Lubrecht Forest camp east of Missoula. The fee is approximately $185, including meals and lodging. To receive more information, provide your name and mailing address to Liz Lodman, FWP-BOW Coordinator, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620 (406-444-2615); or e-mail llodman@state.mt.us.
