A Montana State Parks Passport is now available for purchase on the Internet from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the FWP web site at fwp.state.mt.us/parks or at DiscoveringMontana.com. Anyone with a credit card and current driver’s license can access these sites and go through the simple steps to purchase the passport, which will be received by mail within about five days. "Now everyone may order a Passport in a couple of minutes," said Parks Division Administrator, Doug Monger. "Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is happy to be the first state agency to offer this kind of secure online service, making State Parks more accessible and easy to enjoy." An added benefit to the service is that is makes it easier for out-of-state visitors to purchase a Montana State Parks Passport in advance. "Our out-of-state visitors make a significant contribution to the local economies in our state. We want to do everything we can to make it easy for them to visit and to have a great time while they are here," Monger said. Ordering a State Parks Passport online is simple. From the www.DiscoveringMontana.com web site, click on Online Services and then "epassport". Or, users may go to the FWP website at www.fwp.state.mt.us/parks and then click on the "epassport" logo. Once on the State Parks Passport page, customers provide their name, address and drivers license number, as well as the number of passes they wish to purchase. The customer types in a credit card number and then chooses whether to print a receipt directly from their home printer or to have the receipt e-mailed to an e-mail address they provide. The cost of an online Montana State Parks Passport is $20.50 for Montana residents and $24.50 for nonresidents. Two additional passports can be purchased at half price.
