In an ongoing effort to provide angler access to Montana’s streams, rivers, and lakes these new sites have been added to the Fishing Access Site program. A portion of each fishing license sold is deposited into a fund for acquisition. 3 sites on the Upper Bitterroot River

1 on the Clark Fork near Drummond

2 on the Big Spring Creek near Lewistown

1 on Island Lake near Kalispell

2 on the Yellowstone (1 near Emigrant, 1 near Laurel)

Except for the Drummond and Laurel sites, these new acquisitions are undeveloped. Improvement will be made over the next few summers, as funding is available.
