How many adults today think to themselves, that’s what I would have become, if I’d only known I could? A Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks internship could help a student interested in biology, the outdoors, recreation-management and a range of other subjects make the right career choice. FWP’s internships offer a variety of "hands-on" work experiences that enable a student to combine career goals with on-the-job training. For the past 10 years this program has benefited both students and the agency. The typical internship is 12 weeks long, totaling 480 hours with an average wage of $8 per hour. Students are encouraged to contact the career service office, work-based learning center or job opportunity placement center at the college they attend for detailed information. The deadline for FWP internship applications is mid-March.
