Looking for a unique way to say "I love you" this Valentines Day? The Early Bird State Parks Passport will help get your message across -- and may inspire your Valentine to plan a romantic getaway for two later this year to one of Montanas 41 state parks. The annual windshield decals -- with the FWP logo celebrating "A Century of Conservation" -- are on sale now at Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks headquarters in Helena and the region offices. The Passport allows unlimited entrance into state parks without paying a daily fee, even when visiting without a vehicle. The decals also carry a $4 reduction in camping fees at state parks that permit overnight use. The passport, offered at a reduced rate from Dec. 1 through Feb. 15, 2001, is $16 and $8 for additional decals for vehicles registered under the same name or at the same address. They are valid March 1, 2001 to Feb. 28, 2002. Decals purchased after the "early bird" season are $20 for the first one and $10 for each additional passport for residents and $24 for the first one and $12 for each additional Passport for nonresidents. A maximum of 2 additional passes may be purchased. When buying more than one park passport at the same time, it is necessary to have the vehicle registration(s) available. Passports are valid for private non-commercial use only.
