The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet Thursday and Friday, October 3 and 4, at the Fish, Wildlife & Parks headquarters in Helena. Thursday's meeting, scheduled to convene at 9 a.m.

Five hundred A-7 elk licenses remaining after the annual special license and permit drawings will be sold over the counter, first-come, first-served beginning October 1 at the FWP offices in Butte and Bozeman. These licenses are valid only in Hunting District 329. There is both public and private land in this hunting district. Hunters must give up their general elk license in exchange for the A-7 license.
