Kootenai Falls is located in Lincoln County in northwestern Montana, seven miles northwest of Libby. Take State highway 37 north from Libby to Kootenai River Road (county road). (Lat 48.448, Lng -115.676)

The single road accessing the WMA is gated and closed to motorized vehicles. Access is by non-motorized means only.
