Just off Interstate 90 east of Missoula, this small park offers river frontage, tipi rentals, a one-hour walking nature trail through a thick canopy of cottonwoods, and developed campsites and picnic areas. There are interpretive programs in the amphitheatre on Friday evenings during the summer.

Beavertail Hill State Park is located on the Clark Fork River 245 miles from the mouth on the right hand side as you face downstream. Drummond is the next access site upstream from Beavertail Hill.
Beavertail Hill State Park is located 26 miles southeast of Missoula on I-90 to Beavertail Hill exit #130, then .25 mile south on county road. (Lat 46.72, Lng -113.576)
