Big Timber Area

Trout Lake

• Location: South of Big Timber.
• Fish Species: cutthroat trout
• Helpful Hints: Half a mile south of the Four Mile Guard Station - small pond.

Billings Area

Anita Reservoir

• Location: 4 miles south of Pompeys Pillar.
• Fish Species: bass, crappie, and channel catfish
• Helpful Hints: Owned by Huntley Irrigation district; has good public access.

Arapooish Pond

• Location: Hardin
• Fish Species: bass
• Helpful Hints: Includes access to the Bighorn River. No boat motors allowed.

Broadview Pond

• Location: North edge of Broadview.
• Fish Species: bass and trout
• Helpful Hints: Pond workings improved by Montana Pikemasters.

Chief Joseph Lake

• Location: Harlowton City Park.
• Fish Species: rainbow
• Helpful Hints: Short walk from campground - flies work well.

Lake Elmo

• Location: Billings Heights - Lake Elmo State Park.
• Fish Species: trout, perch, channel catfish, bass, crappies, sunfish, and tiger muskies
• Helpful Hints: Boat ramp (electric motors only), swimming beach, fishing pier and FWP regional headquarters. 

Lake Josephine

• Location: Billings - Riverfront Park.
• Fish Species: bass, crappies, channel catfish, sunfish, and tiger muskies
• Helpful Hints: Easy family access, on city trail system.

Laurel Pond

• Location: West edge of Laurel.
• Fish Species: rainbow trout, and cutthroat trout
• Helpful Hints: Good access, not many trees.

Transwestern Ponds

• Location: Southwestern Billings.
• Fish Species: bass
• Helpful Hints: In the Transwestern building complex.

Red Lodge Area

Greenough Lake

• Location: South of Red Lodge at the base of the Beartooth Highway.
• Fish Species: rainbow trout
• Helpful Hints: Short walk from campground - flies work well.

Wild Bill Lake

• Location: West of Red Lodge along the West Fork of Rock Creek.
• Fish Species: trout
• Helpful Hints: Handicap accessible; flies work well.
