Location: West of Bozeman on Huffine Lane at Fowler Lane.

Glen Lake (East Gallatin Recreation Area)
Location: Northeast of Bozeman, 7th Avenue North to Griffith Avenue.
Fish Species: rainbow trout, largemouth bass, suckers, and yellow perch
Regional Park Pond
Location: Northwest Bozeman. West off N. 19th on Oak Street.
Fish Species: rainbow trout
Three Forks Pond
Location: Northeast of Three Forks.
Fish Species: carp, largemouth bass, bluegill, and yellow perch
Dillon Area
Blacktail Meadows Pond
Special Regulations: open only to anglers 14 years old or younger. One rod per child.
Location: North end of Dillon off I-15.
Fish Species: rainbow trout
Vigilante Pond
Special Regulations: open only to anglers 14 years old or younger. One rod per child.
Location: West of Virginia City on Hwy 287.

Helena Area
Indian Road Pond
Special Regulations: open only to anglers 14 years old or younger, holders of a "Resident Person with a Disability Conservation LIcense" and holders of a "Permit to Hunt from a Vehicle" with the proper prerequisite fishing license. One rod per angler.
Location: Indian Road BLM site north of Townsend on Hwy 287/12.

Spring Meadow Lake
Location: Montana highway 12 west of Helena is a popular and safe environment for young anglers interested fishing.
Helpful Hints: The surrounding park invites family afternoons of swimming, sunbathing, scuba diving, bird watching and more. An easy nature trail circles the lake and boasts a view of Mount Helena.
Livingston Area
Sacajawea Lagoon
Location: In the city of Livingston at Sacajawea Park along Yellowstone River.
Fish Species: Yellowstone cutthroat trout
Helpful Hints: Youngsters enjoy the trout fishing and the surrounding park which offers activities like feeding the geese, picnicking, wading, swing sets, tennis and horse shoe pits-just in case the fishing gets slow.
Gheny Pond
Special Regulations: open only to anglers 14 years old or younger. One rod per child.
Location: South of Twin Bridges on Hwy 41.
Fish Species: rainbow trout, westslope cutthroat trout
Whitehall Area
Whitehall Community Pond
Location: Three miles south of Whitehall. From Whitehall, take South Division street for 1.5 miles, turn right on Piedmont Road and go about 1.5 miles
Fish Species: westslope cutthroat trout
Helpful Hints: Angling is allowed for both kids and adults. The pond is stocked in April, June and September.
