Become a Warden

Montana FWP currently employs approximately 75 Field Wardens, 14 Warden Sergeants, 8 Warden Captains, and 10 Investigators. Wardens are stationed in regional offices or in outlying warden districts. Warden districts average 1,800 square miles. Montana's Wardens are fully certified Peace Officers and must be self-motivated and independent workers. FWP Wardens serve as the front line contact with the sporting public and landowners.
