Although Lewis and Clark endured tremendous hardships while navigating Montana's rivers, most of today's explorers experience a far different adventure.

Using water routes to experience the Trail enables visitors to come as close to the Corps' adventure as possible, but there are regulations that have been established to protect and enhance each traveler's experience.
