Montana Wildlife Center (1/6/2006)
Montana supports a wide range of wildlife and it's habitat. The responsibility of managing a state the size of most countries can be daunting. When it comes to the state's animals and wild lands the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is awarded this task. One of FWP's more challenging responsibilities is caring for Montana's orphan wildlife. In the early 1990's, FWP in concert with the Mikal Kellner Foundation for Animals, the Montana FWP Foundation, and the Helena National Forest began working on the creation of a new, state-of-the-art facility designed to give orphan animals a second chance at being wild. Today, the center provides a haven for animals where they can run, play, and even stretch out in the sun.
