Fort Peck Hatchery (10/28/2005)
Back in 1933, few considered the impact major construction projects had on an area’s fish and wildlife resources. In this week’s outdoor report, Mike Gurnett takes us to fort peck, where after over seventy years, thanks to Montana’s senators and congressman past impacts are being balanced with the addition of a new hatchery. In addition to sport-fish production, the facility will play a major role in FWP’s work with dangered species like the pallid sturgeon.
