Park Field Trips
Teachers find that state parks are the perfect fit to complement classroom work, because parks are places where students see first hand what has been discussed in class. Many parks have interpretive staff that can provide programs for students. Many programs are tailored to meet the needs of busy teachers that require curriculum-based educational programs for their students.
- Where to Go—With advance notice and your curriculum goals, our park staff can tailor programs specifically for your class. Programs may be as varied as aquatic education, geology, Montana history, paleontology, or Indian education. Each park has a unique story to tell. [Learn more]
- Preview Your Visit—A great way to be sure that a park is the right fit for your class is to visit beforehand. Parks are free with your Montana license plate so visiting is easy. Visiting in advance will allow you to become familiar with locations of lunch areas, restrooms, water fountains, exhibits, trails and the accessibility of the site.
