Montana is well known for the great fishing found within its waters, and the incredible diversity of the state's 86 different species of fish. FWP's Angler Education Program offers something for everyone who would like to learn more about Montana's unique fish and fishing opportunities.

Becoming An Outdoors Woman

The Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program provides opportunities for adult women to learn outdoor skills while encouraging and empowering them to build their confidence in the outdoors. The hands-on workshops provide classes on skills such as fishing, shooting, archery, map & compass, and canoeing.

Hunter Education Class

Hunter Education

Classes are offered at Montana WILD most months from February through September. Bowhunter Education courses are available from March through July. All classes are limited to 45-48 students and require online registration.

The range was designed with the purpose of introducing youth to the life sport of archery. This outdoor archery range consists of 6 lanes, block targets, backstop net, and side banks. Participants must use archery equipment the range provides.
