|Description||Curious about bird watching, but not sure how to get started? Join Milltown State Park staff and the University of Montana Bird Ecology Lab for a birding basics workshop.
Observe and identify a variety of bird life while walking from the Milltown overlook down to the floodplain. Participants will receive instruction on a variety of birding basics, including how to use binoculars and field guides properly, as well as the five most important things to look for when identifying birds. Participants will also break into groups and use their new-found skills to identify the birds around them.
