DescriptionKids aged 7-13 are invited to enjoy a morning of learning about nature, as we present ¿Fun with Fossils.¿ Students will learn that fossils provide a valuable record of the plant and animal life and environment conditions from millions of years ago. They will also create their own fossil and learn how real fossils form and what scientists can learn from them.

Please have participants bring a water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen and dress appropriately for the weather. Please meet at the Visitor Center. Due to liability issues, we must have at least one additional adult (besides our instructors) per 10 participants. We strongly encourage parents to sign up for a program to share in these interesting and fun learning experiences.

A program schedule and registration forms are available at the Makoshika State Park Visitor Center.
