|National Public Lands Day|
|Date||Saturday September 24, 2016|
|Time||10:00 AM - 2:00 PM|
Black Sandy State Park
|Description||National Public Lands Day is America¿s largest volunteer event for our public lands. It is held in late September to draw volunteers out to help improve and enhance our nation¿s public lands. Over 30% of America¿s land is public land. In Montana, we take pride of our public lands. This year, please consider contributing some time and labor in enhancing those public lands.
Volunteers will meet at the Black Sandy Ranger Station at 10am. From there we will head to the overlook trail where we will be doing a variety of trail maintenance projects including tread work, reinforcing switchbacks, and disguising social trails. Please wear closed toe shoes and bring water and sturdy work gloves. Park staff will provide extra gloves, tools, and a tool safety overview before heading to the trail.
For more information or to volunteer, please call Hannah Kmiecinski at (406)-444-7317.
