|Description||National Public Lands Day is America¿s largest volunteer event for our public lands. It is held in late September to draw volunteers out to help improve and enhance our nation¿s public lands. Over 30% of America¿s land is public land. In Montana, we take pride of our public lands. The vast amount of wilderness and recreational acres in Montana is incredible. This year, consider contributing some time and labor in enhancing those public lands.
Volunteers will meet Flathead Lake State Park staff in the Harry Horn Day Use Area of Wayfarers. From there we will set out into different parts of the park to remove invasive weeds, cut back branches, and improve trails. The projects will begin at 10am and continue till 12pm. Please bring a pair of work gloves and come prepared to get a little dirty!
