Cooney State Park
|Description||This hike takes place on Cooney¿s new trail starting behind the North Shore Campground. Hikers may see some resident bald eagles, an assortment of varmints, mule deer and whitetail deer. If there is enough snow, participants are encouraged to bring their snowshoes. If you do not have snowshoes, but would like to use some, Cooney Park will rent you a pair for $5. (Note: Adult sizes are limited.)
Hike leaves at 10:00 from the North Shore Campground. Please show up 15 minutes early if you need to rent snowshoes.
Please dress appropriately for the weather. Water bottles, snowshoes or winter boots, warm clothing, and Binoculars are suggested.
