Description(Glendive, MT) Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today:

What: Makoshika State Park hosts 2013 Montana Shakespeare in the Parks Presentation of George Farquhar's "The Recruiting Officer"

This is the 41st season of Montana Shakespeare in the Parks (MSIP) providing free professional theater productions of the classics throughout Montana and four neighboring states. The program is FREE and open to the public.

George Farquhar's The Recruiting Officer is being produced by MSIP for the first time. It is a delightful restoration comedy set in the early eighteenth century with an emphasis on the comedy of manners┬┐= style often associated with this time period.

Elegant costumes and beautiful scenery along with original music by award winning composer Andrew Hansen will complement this hilarious restoration comedy. For more information on the MSIP plays and a complete tour schedule visit the company's website at shakespeareintheparks.org

The company features 10 professional actors selected by national audition who tour without technical assistance to bring live theater to communities.
