|Description||Missouri Headwaters State Park Summer Speaker Series presentation, "The Exceptional Diversity of Birds in Headwaters State Park" by Steve Hoffman, Executive Director of Montana Audubon. The 2012 speaker series theme is Exploring Nature.
The amazing variety of habitats at Missouri Headwaters State Park contributes to the exceptional diversity of birds that inhabit the park. There are 427 bird species in the state of Montana, and more than 100 are known to occur within this 506-acre park! The abundance and diversity of birds in the park is so unique the area has been designated as an ¿Important Bird Area¿ by Montana Audubon. Hoffman¿s presentation will help park visitors find and identify some of the most common and easily observed species found in summer in the park.

Missouri Headwaters State Park picnic area, 1585 Trident Road, Three Forks, MT 59752. The park is located four miles north of Three Forks, just off of interstate 90.
